Annotation

The course "Interpretation of the Old Testament 1" aims to acquaint students with the contents of the Old Testament books from the perspective of modern hermeneutics. This course supports the other disciplines related to the Old Testament and create skills for contemporary interpretation of the Old Testament text.

Jeff Shepherd:  After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, USA, Jeff went on to earn a Masters degree in Learning and Teaching and a Masters degree in Theological Studies (Old Testament), both from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.  Jeff currently teaches history full-time at the American English Academy in Sofia, where he has served for two years.  He and his wife Lisa have two children, a son Avery (13) and a daughter Elise (12), who was adopted from Turgovishte in 2010.  Jeff and his family worship and work with the Renaissance Church of Christ in Sofia.
